This virtual workshop is designed for white women and non-Black women of color who want to do the inner work of allowing truth to guide them in their anti-racism journey with like-minded, action oriented people. Together, we will face truth and embrace our ability to affect change and dismantle racism, first within ourselves, and then in our families and communities. Our purpose is to listen, learn and utilize tools and resources to strategize ways to do less harm, be better co-conspirators to BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) and develop ways to move forward towards Black and collective liberation with mindful action. Upon registering for this virtual workshop (which takes place on Zoom), participants will receive pre-workshop assignments to help prepare them for the foundational learning and truths that will be explored. Tina Strawn, is a queer Black anti-racism advocate, consultant, leader, speaker and educator. The heart of her anti-racism work is leading Legacy Trips to Montgomery, Alabama where she invites people to reflect on and participate in anti-racism work by visiting the Equal Justice Initiative as well as to the National Memorial to Peace and Justice. She uses yoga and mindfulness practices as a lens to view America's racist past and present.
